Transforming Formative Assessment
Formative assessment is defined as a planned process in which evidence of students' learning status is used by teachers to both adjust and differentiate instruction. In this action-packed session, teachers learn to use and develop formative assessments in creative ways that promote student engagement. Additionally, teachers will view formative assessment as a process that facilitates instructional efforts already in progress. Through increased immediate feedback, teachers will transform learning environments by including students in active self-assessment.

Project-Based Learning
This session is designed to impact effective implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Teachers learn how to plan and assess complex integrated learning tasks in which students demonstrate content knowledge through investigating, designing, and creatively executing a variety learning tasks for a specified end product. Through teacher facilitation, this student-center process promotes student independence, time management, organization, and 21st century learning skills while applying content knowledge from a variety of disciplines. Learn how to plan the 8 Essential Elements to incorporate key content, generate school support, and publish products for public input, review and participation.
eduCoaching provides additional opportunities for project planning, assistance with entry events ideas, public sharing, and continuous progress monitoring.
